TYPE: “Crianza” Red author wine
GRAPES VARIETIES: 50% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
HARVEST: The grapes are collected manually in boxes of 10/15 Kg of vineyards of the property, 50 years old, low production and located at 650 meters altitude. Transported to the winery with extreme care, it is selected at the table choosing the best grapes prior to the vatted and winemaking.
VINIFICATION: The fermentation takes place in a period of 8 to 10 days, not exceeding the temperature of 28/30 ºC, the wine remains in contact with the skins in maceration, for a period between 10 and 15 days.
AGING: 14 months in American and French Oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Cherry colour with garnet edge. The nose is powerful and intense, with aromas of ripe fruit (blackberry, plum, …); spicy, notes of cocoa and vanilla, roasted from the new oak barrel. In the mouth it is tasty, friendly, fluid and sweet. Chocolate notes appear. Mature tannins, good acidity, silky texture in good balance.
PAIRING:ALTOS DE LUZON AUTOR 14 MESES TINTO pairs with Steak with mushrooms, hare, partridge, leg of suckling lamb, lamb, smoked meats, stews and rice with meat. Fish such as hake with casserole, salmon, cod and bluefin tuna. Smoked, blue cheeses and generally cheeses.
CONSERVATION AND CONSUMPTION: The appropriate temperature of consumption of this wine should be between 16 and 18ºC. In its conservation it is important that the temperature is constant around 17ºC, avoiding thermal jumps that negatively influence the quality.
