Grape: Mencía from the Lombano plot, located on a gentle slope facing west with sandy loamy soils over quartzites in the foothills of the Aquilianos Mountains.
Fermentation in concrete tank and aging in French barrels for 12 months.
Tasting notes:
Olfactory notes: the balsamic and spicy notes of the aging in wood merge with cassis, raspberry and blackberry, being able to appreciate, as the wine is opened, the floral nuances of the violets and the mineral background from the quartzite floors. .
Gustatory notes: you can appreciate a very pleasant entrance compensated by tannins of medium granulometry, well integrated in the wine, and with a long finish due to its good acidity. The aromatic memories in the mouth provide a very pleasant sensation.
